Ukrainian forces destroy over 10,000 Russian air targets in August

Ukraine's Air Force reported the information.

What exactly was shot down and in what quantity?

• 1 Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missile;
• 79 Kh-101/Kh-55SM cruise missiles;
• 2 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles;
• 20 Kalibr cruise missiles;
• 9 Kh-59/69 guided air-to-surface missiles;
• 15 Iskander-K cruise missiles;
• 2,724 Shahed type attack UAVs;
• 755 reconnaissance UAVs;
• 6,610 UAVs of other types.

The Air Force aviation conducted 327 sorties during August, in particular:

• about 270 for fighter air cover;
• over 50 for fire engagement and air support for the troops.

"In September 2025, the aviation of the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed 516 air targets, hit command posts, logistics facilities, as well as Russian manpower concentration areas," the Air Force added.

• On the night of October 1, Ukrainian air defense neutralized 44 Russian UAVs out of 54 means of air attack.
