Ukrainian forces destroy $10 million Russian Buk-M1 air defense system

The Khortytsia Operational-Strategic Troop Grouping reported the information.

Ukrainian scouts from the Chornyi Lis artillery reconnaissance brigade discovered and destroyed a Russian multi-functional medium-range air defense system Buk-M1 along with its ammunition during its movement.

"The 'firework' from the detonation of the ammunition was the result of a precise hit on the modern Russian air defense system," reads the post.

For reference: The Buk-M1 air defense system is one of the key Russian air defense systems. The estimated cost of the multi-functional medium-range air defense system Buk-M1 is approximately $10 million.
