Ukrainian flag in Krynky is response to Russian propaganda - OC South

Operational Command South’s spokesperson Natalia Humeniuk says that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are holding their positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River and are working to expand it

She said this on Espreso TV.

"The installation of the Ukrainian flag in Krynky is a response to the challenges posed by enemy propaganda in the information society. It is trying to convince the local population in the temporarily occupied territories that they are abandoned, that the Ukrainian Defense Forces have been driven out of their positions, and that the Russians are dominating there. But everyone saw that there was a Ukrainian flag, Ukrainian resistance, and Ukrainian Defense Forces soldiers. The two assaults that the Russian army managed to carry out yesterday were ineffective and disastrous for it," noted Humeniuk.

According to the Operational Command South’s press center head, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are holding their positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River and are working to expand it.

"Our soldiers needed the flag in Krynky to realize that we will not be driven out of there. And also for the civilian population of the left bank to feel that Ukraine is close by," emphasized Humeniuk.

• Over the last day, 92 combat engagements took place at the front. Ukrainian defenders repelled Russian attacks in 7 sectors and killed 890 soldiers.
• A deputy of the Kherson Regional Council, Serhiy Khlan, noted that the Russian troops are creating a camp to educate "future soldiers of the Kherson region.”
