Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov made this announcement.
According to him, the anti-drone rounds resemble standard assault rifle cartridges, but thanks to their specialized warhead, they greatly enhance the chances of shooting down an FPV drone or a Mavic before it can strike.
The manufacturer has already codified the new ammunition in accordance with NATO standards.
“Our shared goal is for every infantryman to have a magazine of these rounds and be able to load them into their weapon in case of an aerial threat,” Fedorov emphasized.
- Ukraine's Defense Ministry has codified and approved for use in the Armed Forces the domestic unmanned aerial FPV system Svitlovod.
