Ukrainian delegation visits U.S.: Yermak, Kellogg discuss Russia sanctions, military aid
On Tuesday, June 3, a Ukrainian delegation led by First Deputy Prime Minister and Economy Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko has arrived in Washington, D.C. The delegation has met with U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg
The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, who is part of the delegation, announced the visit. He said teams from the Ministry of Defense and the President’s Office also joined him in the U.S.
Yermak said the Ukrainian side would actively push key issues in Washington.
“Our agenda is complex. We plan to discuss defense support and the battlefield situation, strengthening sanctions against Russia, including Senator Graham’s bill. We will also cover the Agreement on creating a Reconstruction Investment Fund, which was signed earlier,” Yermak said.
Washington will also address the return of Ukrainian children deported by Russia and support for this effort, as well as Russian propaganda linked to church issues.
Yermak said the delegation plans to meet with many representatives from both parties who support Ukraine, including members of former President Donald Trump’s team.
“We will discuss the outcomes of the Istanbul meetings and how Russia is delaying ceasefire talks and negotiations to prolong the war,” Yermak added.

Later, the head of the Presidential Office reported on the Ukrainian team’s meeting with U.S. Special Representative Keith Kellogg.
“We discussed the frontline situation, the outcomes of the Istanbul talks, the need to strengthen sanctions against Russia, and defense aid to Ukraine. We also raised the issue of children kidnapped by Russia,” Yermak wrote.
He stressed that Russia “is doing everything it can to block a ceasefire.”
“This must be stopped by force, because Ukraine has done everything to end the war. If Russia refuses to stop fighting voluntarily, we will continue operations to destroy their military strength,” said the head of the Office of the President.
- On June 2, Andriy Yermak and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited Vilnius to attend the Bucharest Nine and Nordic countries summit.
