Ukrainian border guards stop Russian subversive group in Sumy region

"Last night, border guards from the Defense Forces detected an enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group moving from the Russian Federation," the statement says.

It is noted that Ukrainian border guards immediately opened fire on the Russian subversive group with small arms and grenade launchers.

"The enemy has retreated, its losses are being clarified," the State Border Guard Service added.

• Ukrainian troops in the Northern Operational Zone underwent training to counter enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups: they practiced seizing positions and restoring lost ones.
