State Border Guard Service spokesperson Andrii Demchenko reported this during the telethon.
"The activity of Russian saboteurs is currently not as high as it was before. However, the threat remains, particularly in the Sumy region, where such incidents have been most frequently recorded. There is also a threat to the Chernihiv region and Kharkiv region. It was in this area that border guards recently repelled an infiltration attempt by a sabotage and reconnaissance group, inflicting damage that forced Russians to retreat beyond the state border," the spokesperson noted.
According to Demchenko, there have been no border breaches by Russia in the Sumy region or any other areas.
- In November, Russian media reported that Russian military personnel had placed a Russian flag on a bridge over the Sudost River near the village of Hremiach in the Chernihiv region. The State Border Guard Service clarified that the saboteurs had not entered the village.
