Ukrainian army may have reserves to defend Avdiivka

Defense Express expert Ivan Kyrychevskyi believes that the destruction of the Russian convoy in the Avdiivka sector indicates that the Ukrainian army probably has reserves to defend Avdiivka

He expressed this opinion on Espreso TV.

"If we comment on the episode when our troops managed to preemptively destroy a convoy that was supposed to reinforce the invaders near Avdiivka, we can conclude that the combat success of our troops there is much better than is usually commented on. Before that, we could read in Western sources that we had a very large shortage of ammunition in the Avdiivka sector and had nothing to hold the defense line with. It was also said that our brigades, which were sent there for reinforcement, are almost the last reserve we have," said Kyrychevskyi.

The expert emphasized that the situation in the Avdiivka sector is somewhat better for the Ukrainian military than reported by some sources.

"Amid this information, the very ability of our troops to conduct in-depth reconnaissance to detect the transfer of enemy reserves and then destroy them would seem unlikely. However, our troops managed to do it. Accordingly, we can cautiously assume that we have some reserves for the defense of Avdiivka. Of course, these are not the reserves that can be spent endlessly, but the situation now looks a bit better than it is usually said to be," he added.
