Ukrainian army сolonel names key areas of Russian offensive efforts
Vladyslav Selezniov, military expert, colonel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, former spokesman for the Ukrainian General Staff, believes that Russian forces will focus their main efforts on the eastern flank of the Russian-Ukrainian front
He said this on Espreso TV on June 4.
"The situation in the northern Kharkiv region remains tense. Currently, the enemy has taken an operational pause after suffering significant losses during the first stage of their offensive in this area. The Russians are now redeploying forces and equipment, particularly from the Kursk region to the Belgorod region. Essentially, the enemy is forming a strike group that may cross our border in the near future to increase pressure on the Defense Forces of Ukraine operating in the direction of Lyptsi or near Vovchansk," Selezniov said.
Colonel believes that the Kharkiv front, as well as the southern Zaporizhzhia region, are secondary targets for the enemy army.
"The enemy will focus its main efforts on the eastern flank of the Russian-Ukrainian front. We are talking about three key directions. The direction to Kramatorsk, Pokrovsk and Kurakhove. It is there that the enemy will try to put maximum pressure on Ukrainian defenders in order to implement Putin's key political mission, for which he launched the so-called "special military operation" in February 2022. We are talking about the full occupation of Donetsk region," Selezniov stressed.
- According to British intelligence, the Russian occupation army has focused its main efforts on the Avdiivka-Pokrovsk sector.
