Ukrainian air defense downs 41 Russian drones overnight
Overnight on Sunday, October 27, Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 41 Russian attack drones targeting multiple regions. Another 32 drones are unaccounted for
This information was reported by the Air Force of Ukraine.
According to the report, the assault began at 9 p.m. on October 26. By morning, a total of 80 Shahed drones had been launched. The Russian forces also deployed unidentified drones from Oryol, Kursk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
The air defense response involved anti-aircraft missile units, aviation, electronic warfare teams, and mobile fire groups from both the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As of 9:30 a.m., 41 Russian drones had been confirmed downed in the regions of Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Kyiv, Sumy, Kirovohrad, Cherkasy, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, and Chernihiv, with the heaviest activity in Odesa and Kyiv.
Additionally, 32 Russian drones remain unlocated, while one more headed toward Belarus.
