Ukraine's strategic goal is 50,000 Russian casualties per month — Defense Minister Fedorov
Newly appointed Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov says that ending the war faster requires inflicting 50,000 Russian casualties per month
He said this during a meeting with the media, as quoted by Suspilne.
According to him, the Defense Ministry must transition to systematic management, coordination, and civilian oversight.
"Management must be built around those who are capable of achieving defined goals. If people don't demonstrate results that can be measured, they cannot remain in the system," Fedorov added.
He noted that last month, 35,000 Russian troops were killed, and all these losses were verified with video evidence. According to Mykhailo Fedorov, the second strategic goal for achieving peace as quickly as possible is to eliminate 50,000 Russian soldiers per month.
"If we reach the figure of 50,000, we'll see what happens with Russian forces," he said.
Fedorov also emphasized that Russia treats its military as cannon fodder, but problems with replenishing human resources are already becoming evident.
- Over the past day, January 19, the Russian army in the war against Ukraine lost 1,130 military personnel.
