Ukraine's General Staff reports 62 firefights, active Russian attacks in Siversk and Pokrovsk sectors

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported this as of 10:00 a.m. on June 24.

Over the past day, the Russian army launched two missile attacks on Ukrainian positions and settlements, using four missiles, 58 air strikes (including 91 guided bombs), over 3,500 attacks, including 91 from MLRS, and over 500 strikes by ‘kamikaze’ drones.

Yesterday, the Ukrainian Air Force, missile forces and artillery destroyed 12 Russian manpower concentrations, 3 air defense facilities, one radar, and one electronic warfare station.

Frontline update: 62 combat clashes so far

Since the beginning of the day, Russian forces have launched 11 air strikes, dropping 19 drones, and fired 579 times at the Ukrainian troops’ positions. Russia also used 33 ‘kamikaze’ drones for attacks.

Russian troops attempt to attack Vovchansk in the Kharkiv sector. Since the beginning of the day, there have been two firefights near the town. The situation is under control. Over the previous day, Russian losses in the Kharkiv sector amounted to: 145 soldiers killed, one armored combat vehicle, an artillery system, and six vehicles destroyed. Four artillery systems and three vehicles were damaged. In addition, 36 dugouts were destroyed.

In the Kupyansk sector, one firefight took place near Stelmakhivka. The situation is under control.

In the Lyman sector, fighting continues near Kopanky, Hrekivka, Makiivka, and Torske. Six attacks were repelled without success for Russian forces, and two firefights are ongoing.

In the Siversk sector, there were 17 attacks. The Russian army is trying to push the Ukrainian Defense Forces from their positions near Bilohorivka, Verkhniokamianske, Rozdolivka, and Vyimka. Seven attacks were repelled and fighting is ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the Russian attack near Ivanivske was unsuccessful. One firefight continues near Klishchiivka.

In the Toretsk sector, two attacks were repelled near Pivdenne, and one battle is still ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk sector, 18 attacks on Ukrainian positions took place today, nine of which were successfully repelled. Fighting continues for Novooleksandrivka, near Yevhenivka, Vozdvyzhenka, Sokil, and Novoselivka Persha. According to the updated information, Russia lost over 220 soldiers in the Pokrovsk sector yesterday. Three tanks, two armored personnel carriers, one cannon, and three vehicles were destroyed. Three tanks, two armored combat vehicles, three cannons, and two vehicles were also damaged.

Russia is putting pressure on Ukrainian positions in the Kurakhove sector near Karlivka, Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Paraskoviivka, and Kostiantynivka. The situation is under control, six attacks were repelled and one firefight is ongoing.

In the Shakhtarsk sector, the Russian forces’ attempt to approach Urozhaine was unsuccessful.

In the Orikhiv sector, the Russian troops failed three times in their attempts to force Ukrainian defenders out of their positions near Mala Tokmachka.

Invading Russian forces did not conduct any active operations in other areas today.
