Ukraine's attack on Russia's Morozovsk airfield: Su-34 bomber, munitions depot destroyed
On August 3, Ukraine's attack on the Morozovsk airfield in Russia's Rostov region destroyed a Su-34 fighter-bomber and a munitions depot
The press service of Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate reported the information.
As can be seen on satellite images, a Russian Su-34 fighter-bomber was destroyed as a result of the attack on the Morozovsk military airfield on August 3.
Two other Russian aircraft of the same type were likely damaged by debris, with explosion craters near the sides.
In addition, Ukrainian intelligence confirmed the destruction of Russia's aviation weapons depot. The secondary detonation of Russian ammunition on the territory of the airfield and around it caused large areas of scorched earth.
"Four technical buildings and two hangars at the Morozovsk air base, located 265 kilometers from the front line, also suffered damage clearly visible from space," the intelligence added.
- On the night of August 3, Ukrainian troops struck at the Morozovsk airfield and attacked a number of oil depots and fuel and lubricant storage facilities in three Russian regions.
