Russia's night attack on Ukraine: air defense destroys 24 Shahed UAVs
On the night of August 31, Russian troops launched missiles and drones to attack Ukraine. Ukrainian defenders managed to destroy 25 Russian Shahed UAVs, and the rest fell on their own
The Ukrainian Air Force reports.
It is noted that last night Russia struck with an Iskander-M ballistic missile from the Voronezh region of the Russian Federation, four S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles from the occupied Donetsk region, and 52 Shahed-131/136 attack UAVs launched from the Kursk region.
The military managed to shoot down 24 Russian attack UAVs, and the other 25 fell on their own.
The Air Force adds that two drones flew in the direction of Russia, and another one flew to Belarus.
Aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine were involved in repelling the Russian air attack.
Air defense was operating in the Kyiv, Poltava, Cherkasy, Dnipro, Chernihiv, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, and Sumy regions.
