Ukraine returns 9 children from temporarily occupied Kherson region
Ukraine has managed to return nine children from the temporarily occupied communities of Kherson region to the government-controlled territory. The youngest child is only 8 months old
Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, reports.
"These are four families with four boys and five girls. The youngest child is 8 months old, the oldest is 17 years old," he said.
The children are now safe with their parents. According to the head of the Regional Military Administration, they are recovering from the horrors they had to endure under Russian occupation.
The Ukrainians are being rescued with the help of the charity organisation Save Ukraine. Prokudin reminded that since the beginning of 2024, 139 children from the Kherson region have been returned to the territory controlled by Ukraine.
"I believe that soon all the children will be at home, on free land, and I thank everyone who is making efforts to make this happen," he stressed.
- On June 21, seven children from the temporarily occupied communities of Kherson region were returned to the government-controlled territory of Ukraine. The youngest child is 4 months old.
