Ukraine reports tense situation in Pokrovsk sector amid 77 frontline clashes

The Ukrainian Armed Forces’ General Staff reported the information.

In total, 77 combat clashes have taken place since the start of the day.

Border settlements continue to suffer from cynical shelling from the territory of the Russian Federation, particularly: Starykove, Shalyhyne, Popivka, Stepok, Prokhody, Maryine, and Velykyi Prykil in the Sumy region. Additionally, the enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of Turiya, Uhroidy, Myropilske, and Prokhody, also in the Sumy region.

Frontline situation

Kupiansk direction: The Russian army attempted one assault on Ukrainian positions near Zahryzove.

Lyman direction: The invading forces launched 13 attacks — near Nadiia and towards Novoplatonivka, Novomykhailivka, Hrekivka, Ridkodub, and Novyi. Six combat clashes are still ongoing.

Kramatorsk direction: Ukrainian defenders are currently repelling one Russian assault near Kurdiumivka. Two clashes near Chasiv Yar have been successfully stopped by Ukrainian forces.

Toretsk direction: The enemy attacked eight times near Dachne, Shcherbynivka, and Toretsk. One combat clash is still ongoing.

Pokrovsk direction: Since the start of the day, the Russians have attempted 30 assaults to push Ukrainian forces from their positions near Kalynove, Oleksandropil, Tarasivka, Yelyzavetivka, Udachne, Uspenivka, Preobrazhenka, Andriivka, as well as towards Kotliarivka and Serhiivka. Defense Forces are holding back the enemy and have repelled 25 attacks, while five clashes are still ongoing.

Novopavlivka direction: Ukrainian troops repelled five enemy attacks near Kostiantynopil and Skudne. One combat clash is still ongoing.

Huliaipole direction: The invading troops carried out airstrikes on Voskresenka, Zelenyi Hai, Novopil, Malynivka, and Huliaipole.

Orikhiv direction: Ukrainian forces stopped three enemy assaults near the village of Mali Shcherbaky.

Kharkiv, Siversk, and Prydniprovskyi directions: The enemy did not conduct offensive operations.

Kursk region: Ukrainian defenders repelled six Russian attacks; three more clashes are still ongoing. Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has conducted three airstrikes, dropping three guided bombs on military positions and settlements and carried out 162 artillery strikes.
In other areas of the front, the situation has not changed significantly.

• In the south, Russian forces are preparing to conduct assault operations in small groups. However, there is currently no indication of an amphibious operation due to an insufficient number of enemy forces.
