Ukraine reports 94 combat clashes today, Pokrovsk sector sees heaviest fighting

Since the morning of January 13, Russian forces have attacked Ukrainian positions 94 times, with 50 of those attacks concentrated in the Pokrovsk sector

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported this as of 4:00 p.m. on January 13.

"The Russian army continues to attempt advances deeper into Ukrainian territory. So far, Russian forces have carried out 94 attacks, with the most activity in the Pokrovsk direction," the statement said.

Russian artillery also shelled border areas in the Sumy region, hitting the settlements of Mezenivka, Porozok, Baranivka, and Riasne.

Frontline update

The Russian army attacked Ukrainian positions in the Kupyansk sector near Lozova and Dvorichna, with both clashes still ongoing.

In the Lyman sector, Russian forces continue their assaults near Novoserhiivka, Zelenyi Hai, Pershotravneve, Makiivka, Zarichne, and Terny. Since this morning, Ukrainian troops have repelled nine attacks in this area, and another firefight is still underway.

In the Siversk sector, Ukrainian forces stopped three Russian attacks near Bilohorivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the Russian forces launched 11 attacks near Chasiv Yar and Stupochky, with five more battles still in progress.

Today, there were 12 Russian attacks in the Toretsk sector, targeting Bila Hora, Krymske, and Toretsk. Ukrainian defenders are holding strong, with one firefight still ongoing.

The Pokrovsk sector is the hottest spot today. Since this morning, Russian has launched 40 attacks on Ukrainian positions near Baranivka, Zelene Pole, Yelyzavetivka, Tarasivka, Nova Poltava, Novotoretske, Lysivka, Myrnohrad, Zelene, Novyi Trud, Pokrovsk, Shevchenko, Udachne, Novovasylivka, Uspenivka, Petropavlivka, Novoandriivka, Slovianka, Sribne, Kurakhove, and Yantarne. Ukrainian forces have repelled 26 of these attacks, and 14 firefights are still ongoing.

In the Novopavlivka sector, the Russian army attacked Ukrainian positions five times near Rozlyv, Vremivka, and Neskuchne, with 10 battles still underway.

Russian forces have not carried out active operations in the Kharkiv, Huliaipole, Orikhiv, and Prydniprovskyi sectors.

In the Kursk region, Ukrainian defenders repelled 10 attacks today. The Russian army also launched two airstrikes using guided bombs and carried out 215 artillery strikes.

No significant changes have been reported in other sectors.

  • The Russian army's total losses since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine have exceeded 809,000 soldiers.
