Ukraine reports 79 frontline clashes, repels 21 Russian attacks in Pokrovsk sector

Since the beginning of June 26, 79 combat clashes have been recorded on the Russian-Ukrainian front, with Russian army being most active in the Pokrovsk direction

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported the information.

Border settlements, including Ulanove, Bachivsk, Kucheriivka, and Seredyna-Buda in the Sumy region, are suffering from artillery shelling from Russian territory.

Frontline situation

Eight out of fourteen Russian attacks have already been repelled by Ukrainian defenders in the Sumy and Kursk directions, with fighting still ongoing. Russia also carried out an airstrike, dropping four guided bombs (KABs), and conducted 100 shellings, including one with a multiple launch rocket system.

In the Kharkiv direction, the Russian army attacked Ukrainian positions five times near the settlements of Hlyboke, Zybine, Kamianka, Kindrashivka, and Mala Shapkivka, but Ukrainian troops put up a strong defense.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions four times near Holubivka, Stepova Novoselivka, and Zelenyi Hai, with one battle still ongoing.

In the Lyman direction, the invading army attacked 11 times near the settlements of Hrekivka, Novyi Myr, Ridkodub, and in the directions of Olhivka, Kolodiazi, Zelena Dolyna, and Torske. The Defense Forces stopped nine enemy attempts to advance, with two clashes still ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the Russian forces attacked the Ukrainian Defense Forces’ positions twice toward Markove and Bila Hora.

In the Toretsk direction, the enemy attacked five times today near Yablunivka and Rusyn Yar, with one engagement still ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the Russian forces have made 26 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions near the settlements of Poltavka, Malynivka, Shevchenko Pershe, Myrne, Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Myrnohrad, Novoserhiivka, Udachne, Oleksiivka, Novoukrainka, and toward Volodymyrivka. The Defense Forces are holding back the enemy’s pressure, having repelled 21 attacks, with five more clashes ongoing. Russian losses are being clarified.

In the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy attacked eight times near the settlements of Zirka, Yalta, Zaporizhzhia, Bahatyr, Fedorivka, and Odradne. Two clashes are still ongoing.

In the Orikhiv direction, the aggressor carried out airstrikes in the areas of Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, and Kamianske.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the enemy made four unsuccessful attacks on Ukrainian positions and carried out an airstrike with unguided rockets on Kozatske.

In the Huliaipole and Orikhiv directions, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions.

In other areas of the front, the situation has not changed significantly.

  • On Thursday, June 26, the invading Russian forces made gains in the Zaporizhzhia region.
