War is about economics and logistics, not troop numbers. Yet there have been no systematic strikes on the Russian facilities that supply missiles and Shahed drones

Ukrainian Armed Forces Reserve Major General Serhii Kryvonos stated this on Espreso TV.

"All the weapons that hit us are transported to their launch sites by Russian railways. But we haven't carried out systematic strikes on the railway stations where Russia loads and unloads these weapons—including Shahed drones and cruise missiles that are shipped to Engels airbase. We're not systematically targeting Russia's logistics infrastructure," Kryvonos emphasized.

According to the reserve major general, the core problem is how we understand warfare.

"Unfortunately, Ukrainian society and our leaders see war as simply numbers—how many soldiers we have versus how many they have—and think victory comes from pushing masses of troops against each other. That's wrong. War is about economics. It's about whether a state can keep its armed forces properly supplied and functioning to achieve their objectives.

Putin has given his military clear goals and is using Russia's economy to support them. Our job isn't just to destroy Russian troops at the front line. We also need to systematically attack Russia's economy and logistics system," Kryvonos concluded.

  • During the day of January 14, the Russian army lost at least 1,150 soldiers. Ukrainian defenders also destroyed 84 artillery systems and 7 enemy tanks.
