Ukraine destroys Russian Su-30SM fighter, potentially damages another in strike on Saky airfield in Crimea - media

Defense Express reported the information on Sunday, July 28, citing satellite imagery released by Ukrainian OSINT specialists from the CyberBoroshno community.

"The strike destroyed one Su-30SM, and another aircraft may have been damaged by wreckage," Defense Express reported.

As of July 23, researchers noted that the Saky airfield hosted nine Su-24 aircraft, five Su-30SM multipurpose aircraft, three Su-30SM2s (one of which was not operational), and one additional Su-30.

This attack targeted the Saky airfield, where Russia's 43rd Separate Naval Assault Aviation Regiment, equipped with Su-24M and Su-30SM aircraft, has been based since 2014.
