Ukraine destroys 42 Russian drones overnight

The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported the information.
Since 11:00 p.m. on May 4, Russian forces attacked the Sumy region with two Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from Russia’s Kursk region, and launched 116 strike UAVs and UAV imitators of other types from the areas of Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, and Primorsk in the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia region.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
As of 9:00 a.m., the Ukrainian military confirmed the destruction of 42 Russian strike drones in the eastern, northern, and southern parts of the country. Another 21 Russian UAV imitators were lost location-wise.
- Ukraine's Sumy and Donetsk regions were targeted in a Russian attack. The attack destroyed an infrastructure facility in Konotop.
