Tajani stressed that Italy does not supply weapons to Ukraine that can be used outside its borders.
"All the military materiel we send is destined to be used only inside the territory of Ukraine. We don't give materiel that can be used beyond Ukraine's borders. We aren't at war with Russia," the Italian Foreign Minister stressed.
He also commented on the words of French President Emmanuel Macron about sending NATO troops to Ukraine.
"NATO's decisions are taken by NATO, and we are part of NATO, We are not at war with Russia, and we are against sending troops to fight against the Russians," Tajani said.
- On May 2, British Foreign Secretary David Cameron said that Ukraine has the right to use British weapons to strike at Russian territory.
- At the same time, US Ambassador to Ukraine Brink said that the US is committed to helping Ukraine defend itself against the occupying forces, but does not encourage strikes by US weapons on Russian territory.
