Ukraine can stop Russia, reclaim captured territories if united — commander Fedorenko

This was stated by Yurii Fedorenko, commander of the ACHILLES 429th separate drone systems regiment, during a broadcast on Espreso TV.

"In the morning, my son was born — the greatest joy I’ve ever felt. And in the evening, I found out that my close friend and subordinate, Yura Filipenko, was killed in action. I must say: eternal glory and honor to the hero. That’s why we must grit our teeth and hold on, even more so than we did in 2022. 

Everyone must do their part. As military personnel, we’ll strike the enemy in the air, on land, and at sea. The civilian sector must support the Defense Forces however they can. We need to support each other, not ignore one another, go to shelters when needed, and help those in need," Fedorenko said.

According to him, Ukraine is capable of resisting Russia, despite the imbalance in resources.

"I’m convinced we can overcome every challenge. We’ve seen how Israel can pressure Iran, despite the vast difference in scale. In the same way, we can stand firm against Russia. We can reach the point where Russia will first reduce pressure on Ukraine and eventually retreat entirely. If we stay united, we have a real chance to reclaim our territories. Not immediately — but over time, we can complete this mission," he added.
