Trump responds to Medvedev’s war threat: “He’s entering very dangerous territory”
On Thursday, July 31, U.S. President Donald Trump responded to threats made by Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council
Trump addressed the matter on his Truth Social account.
"Tell Medvedev, the failed former President of Russia, who thinks he's still President, to watch his words. He's entering very dangerous territory!" the message read.
In the same post, the U.S. president also mentioned India. Ahead of an upcoming meeting, Trump announced the imposition of a 25% penalty tariff on India for continuing to purchase oil and weapons from Russia, despite global calls for Russia to stop its war against Ukraine.
"I don't care what India does with Russia. They can take their dead economies down together, for all I care. We have done very little business with India, their Tariffs are too high, among the highest in the World. Likewise, Russia and the USA do almost no business together. Let's keep it that way," Trump wrote.
In response, Dmitry Medvedev threatened Donald Trump with a "dead hand" in a post on his Telegram channel.
The Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council insisted that "Russia is right in everything it is doing and will continue to follow its own path."
"As for the 'dead economy' of India and Russia and the 'entering dangerous territory' — well, let him remember his favorite movies about the 'walking dead,' as well as how dangerous a 'dead hand' that doesn’t exist in nature can be," Medvedev wrote on the morning of July 31.
