Trump may realize burden on his shoulders amid Paris talks — France-based political commentator
Paris-based political commentator Oksana Melnychuk suggests that following the meeting between Macron, Trump, and Zelenskyy on December 7, the newly elected U.S. president appeared puzzled
She shared her opinions with Espreso TV.
"After the meeting, our (Ukrainian - ed.) president looked simply radiant, he had a big smile of satisfaction, you could feel it. It was clear that Macron had received some satisfaction from the fact that he had managed to organize this meeting, and Trump had come out puzzled," she said.
Oksana Melnychuk suggested that during the meeting, Donald Trump may have realized the responsibility that rests on his shoulders.
"I mean, we are just speculating, no one knows what is going on in their minds right now. But it seemed to us, observers, commentators who commented on this whole event all day, that Trump may have realized in this Elysee Palace during this trilateral meeting what a burden falls on his shoulders and what responsibility falls on his shoulders. Macron has positioned himself as the person who will try to organize these talks. Of course, we discussed the fact that on the eve of this visit, Orban had been circling Trump in Washington and offering to mediate these talks, but he was abruptly rejected. And the fact that Trump did come to see Macron, even though he was not supposed to," the observer said.
