Trump grows increasingly frustrated over continued missile, drone attacks in Ukraine war
U.S. President Donald Trump has voiced his dissatisfaction with the ongoing missile and drone attacks, despite promises from both Russia and Ukraine to partially cease fire
The Telegraph reported the information.
The outlet reported that Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin disagreed on the peace talks that began on Monday in Saudi Arabia.
The United States hopes the summit will be a step toward a "full-on" ceasefire. However, the Kremlin has downplayed expectations, stating that the meeting is "just beginning" and that "difficult negotiations" lie ahead.
Less than a week ago, Russia rejected Trump's proposal for a 30-day ceasefire, while the White House is seeking a truce by Easter Sunday.
Meanwhile, Ukraine and Europe are concerned that Russia is dragging its feet to buy time on the battlefield, which is likely to disappoint Mr. Trump, who promised a quick end to the war.
Sources close to Mr. Trump said his frustration is growing with the continuing missile and drone attacks, despite promises of a mini-ceasefire by both sides.
“He will get frustrated if they [Ukraine and Russia] keep bombing infrastructure, infrastructure and energy,” one person close to the administration said.
At the same time, the president's entourage assures that the situation in the White House remains stable and that they trust the peace process.
- On the evening of March 23, the Russian occupying army launched strike drones at Ukraine. There were casualties in the Kharkiv, Kyiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions, and explosions were heard in several areas.
