Trump doesn't care how Ukraine war ends — analyst

Viktor Shlinchak, Chairman of the Board of the Institute of World Policy, stated this on Espreso TV.

"A pre-New Year's, pre-Christmas mood already prevails in Washington. And even Trump has already left the White House. Therefore, most likely, when these post-holiday days pass, perhaps another round of negotiations will open up for us, primarily with the Americans. Because with the Russians it's already clear - there's no point in trying to negotiate with them," Shlinchak noted.

According to the political analyst, Russia is currently trying to do what it has always done - manipulate, pressure, bribe, extract large sums of money, tempt, and try to buy those people who are inclined toward it.

"And if you look at Witkoff or certain other representatives of this delegation, it becomes clear that for them, first and foremost, big money is important, not how the war will end. And Trump doesn't care how the war in Ukraine ends - whether it's capitulation, surrender of territories, or some other scenario. What matters to him is the very fact of the war ending, so he can check this box and report ahead of the congressional election campaign that he ended the tenth or eleventh war," Shlinchak emphasized.
