Through protests, situation in U.S. may change drastically – Diplomat Levchenko
Diplomat Oleksandr Levchenko believes that if Donald Trump’s supporters join the protests in the US, it could drastically change the domestic political situation in the country
He shared this opinion during an interview on Espreso TV.
"I try to comment less on the internal politics of each country. However, in the context of global events and changes in the world order, it’s noticeable that certain shifts are happening within American society. These processes are somewhat contradictory. There is a certain fear within American society that protests might lead to internal conflict and possibly even civil war. Such thoughts were expressed in the U.S. even before the presidential elections," Levchenko explained.
According to the diplomat, the domestic political situation in the U.S. affects the entire global order. Any upheavals in the U.S. will have an impact on the whole world.
"The fact that opposition groups are out on the streets in the U.S. is completely understandable. However, if Donald Trump’s supporters also take to the streets, the situation could change drastically. If the situation changes drastically in the U.S., corresponding changes will occur worldwide. That’s why today, the whole world is focused on the internal situation in the US," he added.
