Situation in Toretsk changes within hours - Luhansk troops grouping
Russian forces are advancing along Tsentralna Street in Toretsk, Donetsk region. Dynamic fighting continues in the city and the situation is changing every hour
Anastasia Bobovnikova, spokeswoman for the Luhansk troops grouping, said this during the telethon.
"The situation is unchanged - we are holding back the enemy on Tsentralna Street... However, the fighting in the city is very dynamic. Somewhere they come in and we destroy them and push them back, somewhere they can seize an entrance and we also push them back. That's why the situation varies a lot in just a few hours," she said.
Bobovnikova also noted that the Russian army is trying to storm the Ukrainian military’s positions not only in Toretsk, but also in the areas of Chasiv Yar and New York in the Siversk sector.
"Mostly they try to storm in small groups of 3, 4, 5 people, who suffer significant losses. Some run away, some come back, and they storm us again and again," the spokeswoman added.
At the same time, Bobovnikova noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are being fought by Russian army infantry units, special forces, and artillery.
