Severodonetsk official discusses winter prospects for Luhansk frontline
Roman Vlasenko, the head of the Severodonetsk District Military Administration, shared his thoughts on what the winter might look like in the Luhansk frontline
He spoke about it on Espresso TV.
"Several factors could affect the situation. On one hand, Ukrainian units at the contact line in the Luhansk region are strong, so I don't foresee any significant successes for the occupying forces. On the other hand, it depends on whether Russia ramps up mobilization," he said.
Vlasenko believes that the Russians are currently focused on other areas.
"If their forces remain at the same level as now, I think the intensity will be low, as this isn’t their priority right now. It will also depend on what happens around Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad. If they have success there and can free up some forces, they might ramp up their efforts. But as of today, the situation seems relatively stable, and there are more pressing areas for them," he explained.
