German Chancellor Olaf Scholz says that up to 24,000 Russian soldiers are killed or seriously wounded every month in war with Ukraine

He said this at the Democracy Festival on May 26 in Berlin, n-tv reports.
Scholz stated that figures indicate 24,000 Russian soldiers killed or severely wounded each month.
According to him, these losses in the Russian army, as well as the deaths of many Ukrainian soldiers and civilians, are the result of the “imperialist megalomania” of Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin.
The German chancellor also emphasized that Putin considers Ukraine and Belarus to be parts of Russia, and thus violated the principle of inviolability of borders that has been in place in Europe for decades.
