This was reported by Suspilne, Liga.net and RBC-Ukraine, citing intelligence sources.
It is noted that a new cyberattack by the military intelligence has affected Rostelecom, Otkrytie Bank and Alfa Bank.
According to the sources, the attack caused a global outage in the rapid payment system: the banks' mobile apps, online banking and internal services of the institutions stopped working.
The Defense Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) stressed that the attacked facilities support Russian aggression against Ukraine.
At the same time, pro-Russian media reported a global outage in Russian banks, but did not disclose the cause. They also could not name a timeframe for the resumption of financial institutions' work.
- On September 27, cyber specialists from the DIU targeted more than 800 servers of Russian military, administrative and financial institutions across Russia: They destroyed all data and documents.
