The OSINT project DeepState reported the information.
In July, Ukraine's territorial losses by direction were as follows:
- Novopavlivka — 34% of the total area lost (12% of monthly assault operations)
- Pokrovsk — 22% (35% of assaults)
- Lyman — 12% (15% of assaults)
- Kharkiv (including Kupiansk) — 9% (9% of assaults)
- Toretsk — 5% (5% of assaults)
- Siversk — 4% (4% of assaults)
- Zaporizhzhia — 3% (1.3% of assaults)
- Sumy — 0% (11% of assaults)
“No matter how it sounds, in this ratio, the Pokrovsk and Sumy directions are the most effective — the enemy needs to attack more often there to make gains,” DeepState notes.
At the same time, they point out that the Novopavlivka direction is the most concerning: there, Russian forces are losing less personnel, achieving more success.
“In other areas, the ratio is almost 1:1, which even surprises us with how precisely it matches,” the analysts say.
- As of August 1, Russian forces made gains in Donetsk region, advancing in Chasiv Yar, Toretsk, Zelenyi Hay, near Oleksiivka, and Andriyivka-Klevtseve.
