Russian army ramps up offensive actions in Toretsk area - Khortytsia troop grouping
Nazar Voloshyn, spokesman for the Khortytsia troop grouping, says that the invading Russian army has significantly intensified its offensive in the Toretsk sector
He shared this information on Espreso TV.
"In the Toretsk direction, the Russian army has ramped up its efforts, especially in the last week. Previously, this area was relatively calm. Last week, our defenders repelled 31 enemy attacks. In total, 114 enemy attacks were recorded in the past week. Russia targeted the settlements of Shumy, New York, and Toretsk," Voloshyn stated.
Voloshyn mentioned that the invading Russian forces are heavily using aviation in the Toretsk direction.
"Yesterday, our units faced 7 enemy attacks in the areas of Pivdenne, Sievierne, and Toretsk. The invaders are relentlessly trying to advance, constantly using aviation and dropping anti-aircraft missiles on the settlements. Our defense forces are bravely and actively resisting," he added.
- On July 1, the Ukrainian General Staff reported 142 combat clashes on the Russian-Ukrainian front in the past 24 hours. The invaders continue their most aggressive attacks in the Pokrovsk direction.
