Russian troops refuse to evacuate wounded soldiers from Zaporizhzhia region
Russian military command halts evacuation of injured soldiers in Zaporizhzhia region, with small groups now facing 'abandoned' casualties
This was reported by the partisan movement Atesh on Telegram.
"An Atesh agent from the ranks of the 70th MCB of the Russian Armed Forces informs that the command has decided not to evacuate the wounded soldiers," the partisans said.
They noted that the occupying Russian forces in the Zaporizhzhia region increasingly use the tactic of small groups without the use of equipment, so in the case of injury, no one will come to evacuate them.
"Previously, the command would at least give the hope of returning from the assault, but now it openly states that they will not risk using equipment for the sake of a few fighters – the wounded have no chance," the message reads.
According to the partisans, this attitude has seriously undermined the morale of the soldiers.
"Many are looking for ways to avoid such orders or move to other units," the partisans note.
- Earlier, the Atesh partisans reported that a black market for weapons had appeared in the temporarily occupied territories of the Zaporizhzhia region.
