105 clashes at front, Russia intensifies offensive in Kurakhove sector - Ukraine's General Staff

Since the beginning of September 9, there have been 105 combat engagements along the frontline. Russian forces are actively storming Ukrainian positions in 11 directions

In the Kharkiv sector, Russian forces unsuccessfully stormed the positions of Ukrainian units near Vovchansk.

Six combat engagements took place in the Kupyansk sector since the start of the day. The Russian army conducted offensive actions near Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Hlushkivka, Stelmakhivka, and in the direction of Lozova.

In the Lyman sector, Russian troops attacked ten times around seven different settlements. Six battles are still ongoing. Russia is concentrating its efforts near Novosadove and Nevske, where it conducted half of the total attacks in the sector.

In the Siversk sector, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled nine Russian attempts to advance near Verkhniokamianske, Ivan-Darivka, Spirne, and Zvanivka. Russian troops used armored vehicles in addition to infantry in their assaults on Zvanivka and suffered losses.

In the Kramatorsk sector, two firefights occurred. The occupying army advanced toward Bila Hora and dropped an aerial bomb targeting Predtechyne.

In the Toretsk sector, Russian forces, supported by bomber aircraft, made five attempts to push Ukrainian units out of their positions around Toretsk and Nelipivka. They were fiercely repelled. Additionally, Russian forces fired unguided aerial missiles and guided aerial bombs at Diliivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Russia launched 23 assaults in the areas of Vozdvyzhenka, Zelene Pole, Novotroitske, Novohrodivka, Hrodivka, Selydove, and Mykhailivka. They also carried out an airstrike on Panteleimonivka. Ukrainian defense forces are holding back the Russian offensive and have repelled 16 attacks, with seven battles still ongoing, primarily around Novohrodivka.

In the Kurakhove sector, the occupying army attacked 28 times in the direction of Dolynа, Zhelanne Pershe, Ukrainsk, Halytsynivka, Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, and Kostiantynivka. Nineteen of their attempts to advance have been repelled. Fighting continues, with the most intense activity near Krasnohorivka.

In the Vremivkа sector, Russian forces assaulted Ukrainian positions seven times, advancing towards Zolota Nyva, Vuhledar, and Shakhtarske. Two battles near Vuhledar are still ongoing. Additionally, the Russian army fired unguided aerial missiles at Vuhledar and Vodiane and used guided aerial bombs to strike Katerynivka.

In the Orikhiv sector, there were two attacks, with Russian aviation actively targeting Novoandriivka, Stepnohirsk, Kamianske, Novodanylivka, Luhanske, and Bilohiria. A total of 70 unguided aerial missiles and seven guided aerial bombs were used.

Seven Russian attacks were repelled in the Prydniprovskyi sector.

Attack on the Chernihiv and Sumy regions

Today, Russian artillery and mortar fire hit several areas in the Chernihiv and Sumy regions, including Karpovychi, Uhly, Mezenivka, Semenivka, Mykolaivka, Vovkivka, Stepok, Popivka, Malushyne, Velyka Pysarivka, Iskryskivshchyna, Bobylivka, and Striletska Pushkarka. Additionally, Russian forces fired guided aerial bombs at Pavlivka, Bilopillia, Godunivka, Pustohorod, and Halahanivka.

  • In the past day, occupying Russian forces have suffered losses of at least 1,150 soldiers, along with multiple pieces of equipment and weapons on the Russian-Ukrainian front.
