Russian strikes cause total blackout in Ukraine's Donetsk region

Regional military administration head Vadym Filashkin reported the information.

“All of Donetsk region is without electricity. Russian strikes on infrastructure in the national power grid caused emergency outages,” he said.

Filashkin added that specialists are already working to restore power, which will be resumed as soon as the situation allows.

The Ministry of Energy confirmed the blackout.

“Today, Russia again struck energy facilities – Donetsk region is now completely without power,” the ministry said.

Additionally, Russian shelling partially cut electricity to consumers in Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions.

“Where security conditions allow, energy company specialists have already begun restoration work,” the ministry added.

  • On the evening of Saturday, November 1, the Russian occupation army launched attack drones against Ukraine. In Odesa region, a drone hit a parking lot, causing fatalities. In Chernihiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson, people were injured.
