Russia reports UAV attack on 3 regions, sparking fires at fuel depot

The Russian Ministry of Defense made the claims.

"At about 07:00 a,m, Moscow time, an attempt by the Kyiv regime to launch a terrorist attack using aircraft-type UAVs against targets in the Russian Federation was prevented," the statement said.

According to them, Russian air defense intercepted the UAVs over the region.

At the same time, the Russian media outlet Baza reported an alleged attempt to attack the Baltimore military airfield in Voronezh. The drone was allegedly destroyed a few kilometers from the target.

"Two more drones tried to attack an oil depot in the Anninsky municipal district of the region. The first one was at 7 a.m., and the second one an hour later. The drones were also destroyed. The wreckage of one of them fell into a tank, the other also crashed on the territory of the oil depot," the statement said.

Later, the Kursk Region Governor Roman Starovoit said that a fire at a fuel depot was caused by a UAV attack.

"The fuel tank is on fire, there are no casualties. Emergency services have arrived at the scene," he wrote.

According to the Russian Telegram channel Mash, the drone allegedly attacked the Varichev mining and processing plant in Zheleznogorsk, Kursk region.

It noted that the UAV hit a fuel tank on the territory of the enterprise. There were no casualties, firefighters are working at the scene.

Vyacheslav Gladkov, the governor of the Belgorod region, also reported an alleged attack. According to him, a drone was destroyed near the village of Blizhnee.

According to preliminary reports, there were no casualties or damage.
