Russian troops shoot dead civilian on bicycle: investigation underway

The incident occurred on July 6.

"According to operational data, on July 6, 2025, at 07:55, a cyclist was moving along the road along the private houses destroyed by the enemy in the village of Torske, Lyman community. From an ambush set up among the trees, servicemen of the aggressor state opened aimed fire on him," the report says.

"When the wounded civilian fell to the ground, two occupiers approached him, after which one of them deliberately finished off the man with a shot from an automatic weapon," the prosecutor's office added.

The Donetsk Oblast Prosecutor's Office documented the fact of a war crime that caused the death of a person (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Investigative actions are ongoing.
