Russian forces unsuccessfully try to enter Chasiv Yar outskirts — head of town military administration
The head of the town military administration, Serhiy Chaus, said that Russian forces failed to enter the town
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
"Unfortunately, the situation in the city is difficult, but not critical. Now the fighting is too close to the community. We all monitor the news and see videos from Chasiv Yar. Unfortunately, some of the videos are true. However, I want to emphasize that the enemy has not entered the territory of the town," said Chaus.
According to Chaus, Russian troops are destroying the town with shelling.
"There were attempts by the enemy to enter and gain a foothold in Chasiv Yar, but our Defense Forces repelled the occupiers. However, the last two weeks have been very difficult for our town. The enemy is shelling it with everything they have in their arsenal. The occupiers are trying to destroy the town to the ground," he added.
