Russian forces refuse to perform combat missions in Kharkiv region due to losses
Lieutenant Colonel Nazar Voloshyn, spokesman for the Khortytsia operational and strategic group of troops, reported on the situation in the Kharkiv sector
He told about it on Espreso TV channel.
"Numerous cases of refusal of the enemy personnel, in particular from the assault detachment of the 153rd tank regiment of the 47th tank division of the Russian Armed Forces, to perform their tasks are observed. Because they have lost several people in their command, the Russians refuse to carry out combat missions. This is happening at the level of specific units and individual refusals. That is why they are not doing so well there. In the Vovchansk sector, Ukrainian defenders are knocking out small enemy tactical groups represented by the 153rd Tank Regiment of the 47th Tank Division. They were advancing in the residential area of Vovchansk, but were stopped there and pushed back," he said.
According to Voloshyn, six combat engagements took place in the Kharkiv sector on June 27.
"Fighting took place near Vovchansk and Lyptsi. Attacks also took place near Sotnytskyi Kozachok. The occupants were not successful there, the situation did not change significantly. The Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled four of the five enemy attacks. Combat also continued north of Kharkiv, near the settlements of Lukianske and Hlyboke. Just recently, terrorists launched three attacks from Belgorod, using 7 glide bombs on the village of Lyptsi. The occupying Russian forces also struck twice at the village of Starytsia, dropped four bombs on Mykolayivka and three more glide bombs on Varvarivka and Vesele. Vovchansky Khutory is also under attack with guided aerial bombs," he said.
The Russian forces are not giving up their attempts to conduct active hostilities. However, the Defense Forces of Ukraine are pushing back the enemy, Voloshyn said: "The enemy is suffering losses. As a result of the fighting, about 120 Russian soldiers, several pieces of weapons and military equipment, tanks, artillery, anti-tank weapons, and 5 pieces of special equipment were destroyed."
- On June 28, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that 59 combat engagements had already taken place since the beginning of the day. The enemy slightly increased the intensity of offensive actions in the Siverskyi sector, and the situation in the Vremivka sector is tense.
