Ukrainian Navy spokesman Dmytro Pletenchuk said this during a telethon.
According to him, on the night of June 22, the Russian forces fired four Kalibr missiles from the Sea of Azov for the first time.
"And this is an important turning point, because they use it as a safer water area than the Black Sea. That is, they are fencing themselves off with booms in the Kerch Strait and are now trying to use their surface ships in this way," the spokesman said.
Pletenchuk noted that "they (the Russians - ed.) seem to forget that Azov is also quite close to us.”
- On the night of June 22, the Russian army attempted to attack the Ukrainian territory with 16 missiles and 13 UAVs. Ukrainian air defense destroyed 25 air targets.
