Russian forces launch 106 attacks in 11 frontline directions - Ukraine’s General Staff

The Russian army continues to assault Ukrainian positions across 11 frontline areas, with a total of 106 combat engagements reported since the start of September 26

Ukraine’s General Staff reported the information.

Russian forces are using artillery and aircraft in the Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions. Today, shelling from artillery and mortars targeted the towns of Bachivsk, Bila Bereza, Bobylivka, Sydorivka, Vilna Sloboda, Obody, Stara Huta, Bilovody, Khotiivka, Leonivka, and Vidrodzhenivske.

Additionally, Russia fired guided aerial bombs at Atynske, Bilany, Khrapivshchyna, and Kozache.

Frontline situation

Two firefights occurred in the Kharkiv sector, where Russia attempted to breach the defensive lines of Ukrainian units near Vovchansk.

In the Kupyansk sector, there were 18 combat engagements reported since the morning. The Russian army launched offensive actions near Hlushkivka, Kolisnykivka, and Stelmakhivka, with five attacks currently ongoing.

The Lyman sector saw 11 combat engagements, with Russia storming Ukrainian positions near Hrekivka, Nevske, Novosadove, and Torske. Three Russian attacks are still in progress. Additionally, the invaders conducted four air strikes on Serebrianka, Nadiia, and Raihorodok.

In the Siversk sector, Ukraine’s Defense Forces halted four Russian offensives near Bilohorivka, Spirne, and Verkhniokamianske, where one battle is currently taking place. The situation remains under Ukrainian control.

Eight firefights occurred in the Kramatorsk sector, where Russian troops attempted to storm Ukrainian positions near Minkivka, Hryhorivka, and Bila Hora. Two attacks are still ongoing.

In the Toretsk sector, Russian forces tried to push Ukrainian units out of their positions near Toretsk, Shcherbynivka, and Leonidivka. Three combat engagements have concluded, with four still in progress. Additionally, Russian aircraft dropped guided aerial bombs near Kleban-Byk and Petrivka and launched 14 unguided aerial missiles at Druzhba.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Russia conducted 26 assault actions in the areas of Zelene Pole, Mykolaivka, Lysivka, Krutyi Yar, Novohrodivka, Selydove, and Marynivka. Ukrainian defense forces are successfully holding back the Russian advance, having repelled 24 attacks, with two battles currently ongoing.

In the Kurakhove sector, Russian troops attacked 23 times near Tsukuryne, Bazhane Druhe, Heorhiivka, Mykolaivka, Paraskoviivka, Kostiantynivka, and Katerynivka. Ukrainian forces successfully repelled 18 advance attempts, with five still ongoing.

In the Vremivka sector, Russia stormed Ukrainian positions near Vodiane, Katerynivka, and Bohoiavlenka five times. Four battles have concluded, with one still in progress.

In the Huliaipole sector, invaders shelled Bilohiria and Huliaipole using unguided aerial missiles, but no combat engagements were reported.

Two firefights occurred in the Orikhiv sector, where Russia attempted an offensive in the Robotyne area, but it was unsuccessful.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, the Russian army launched an air strike on Kozatske with 10 unguided aerial missiles.

The General Staff noted that the operational situation in other sectors remained unchanged.

  • Over the past day, the occupying Russian army lost 1,400 soldiers. Ukrainian defense forces eliminated 10 Russian tanks and 71 artillery systems.
