Vitalii Piasetskyi, the chief sergeant of the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade Kholodnyi Yar, stated this on Espreso.

"The brigade's area of responsibility is the territory south of Kostiantynivka, which we call the southern Kostiantynivka direction. Currently, the brigade is not conducting counter-offensive actions; we are engaged in defensive battles with Russian Federation units that have been noted for violations of the rules of warfare and war crimes.

When we learned that this unit would be entering our brigade's area of responsibility, we prepared to repel large-scale assaults involving a large amount of armored vehicles. But, as the practice of the last few weeks has shown, the enemy is also bled dry to a certain extent," noted Piasetskyi.

According to the chief sergeant, the Russian troops are currently experiencing problems with logistics and the supply of fuel and lubricants. Enemy armored vehicles are not currently being used. The Russian army is also having difficulties with the supply of weapons and ammunition.

"However, the enemy still continues assault operations using small infantry groups. It is worth noting that the number of enemy infantry groups has increased. Some of them manage to hide, but we destroy most of them thanks to early detection by reconnaissance and strikes by attack drones on the approaches to the line of contact," Piasetskyi added.

  • As of 4:00 p.m. on September 22, 2025, there have been 83 combat clashes at the front since the beginning of the day, 32 of them in the Pokrovsk direction.
