Russian forces destroy civilian river crossing in Kharkiv region
Russian troops destroyed a bridge over the Oskil River used by Ukrainian civilians in the Kharkiv region
The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Syniehubov stated the information, as reported by Ukrinform.
"Last night, Russia once again destroyed the crossing over the Oskil River," he stated. "We will take all necessary measures to restore and rebuild it. Unfortunately, this situation is all too familiar for us."
Syniehubov added that the Russian forces used a missile in the attack. He also mentioned the ongoing difficulties in the Kupyansk sector, noting increased clashes and attempts by the Russian army to storm Ukrainian positions in that area.
"Russia has shown the importance of this location by repeatedly targeting it with guided bombs and other means. Today, they launched a Kh-type missile. Combined with increased assaults and bridge destruction, the Kupyansk sector remains a primary focus for the Russian army," explained Syniehubov.
He also stressed that the crossing will be rebuilt because it's used for evacuations.
"Each crossing is essential for us. This particular one is used by people, trucks, civilian vehicles, and buses, including for evacuation routes," Syniehubov added.
- On July 12, six people exploded on a Russian tripwire during evacuation in Kharkiv region.
