Russian forces build up huge reserves of troops on Pokrovsk front — Rubizh Brigade
In the Pokrovsk sector, Russian troops are attacking with small infantry assault groups that Ukrainian Defense Forces are destroying one after another, indicating Russia has massive manpower reserves in the rear
Major Volodymyr Nazarenko, Deputy Commander of the 4th Rubizh Brigade's 4th Battalion Force of Freedom, stated this on Espreso TV.
"Regarding the tactics of Russian forces in the Pokrovsk direction, in most cases, despite the change in weather conditions, these are small infantry assault groups that have varying qualifications and levels of training. These can be hastily assembled, purchased, and recruited soldiers," Nazarenko noted.
According to the major, Russian forces send small assault groups to the Defense Forces' positions - two, three, four soldiers - along well-trodden paths along certain plantations, settlements, villages and forests, carrying out chaotic attacks.
"That is, there can be one combat engagement for one plantation, or there can be several such engagements during the day: one group goes - it's destroyed, then a second, a third. This is how Russian forces operate constantly.
This indicates that, unfortunately, Russia has a very large number of reserves in manpower. They have accumulated in the rear areas a huge number of trained and untrained mercenaries, whom they can quickly assemble, transfer, accumulate and thus carry out assault actions," Nazarenko emphasized.
On Monday, December 22, 205 combat engagements were recorded on the Russian-Ukrainian front, with Russian troops carrying out 58 attacks in the Pokrovsk direction.
