Russian forces attempt to infiltrate Ukrainian territory from Kursk region in small groups
Russian troops from the Kursk region are attempting to infiltrate Ukrainian territory in small infantry groups while continuing to utilize their full arsenal of weaponry
Vadym Mysnyk, the spokesman of the Siversk operational-tactical group, stated this, Ukrinform reports.
"The Russian forces do not feel calm here. They have certain accumulations here in the territory of the Kursk region and are expanding the zone of active combat operations, trying to enter our territory in small infantry groups. The Defense Forces are destroying the enemy as much as possible, preventing them from advancing deep into the territory," he said.
According to him, the Russian troops are trying to inflict combined strikes on Ukrainian positions, using ground assets and from the air.
"This is mostly infantry on some means of transportation: ATVs, motorcycles, because heavy military equipment cannot freely operate here, because we identify and destroy it in a timely manner, so this is the tactic of realizing their numerical advantage. They are trying to pass, accumulate and somehow gain a foothold," Mysnyk noted.
At the same time, the spokesman added that the Russian army has reduced the use of FPV drones and UAVs, but continues to use its entire available arsenal of weapons.
- The Russian army is gradually sliding from the Pokrovsk direction to the Toretsk direction. There is also currently slightly less Russian activity in the Kupiansk, Kharkiv, and Siversk directions.
