Gas infrastructure damaged

According to the press service of Ukraine’s largest oil and gas production company DTEK Naftogaz, during the night, Russian troops once again attacked DTEK Naftogaz’s energy infrastructure with drones and missiles.

“As a result of the attack, gas production facilities in Poltava region were shut down,” the statement said.

Aftermath in Chernihiv region

The head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, Viacheslav Chaus, reported the information.

“The Russians launched a massive drone attack on Nizhyn. The drones hit a Nova Poshta terminal twice, a residential high-rise, and other civilian infrastructure. According to preliminary data, two people were injured,” Chaus wrote.

He added that all emergency services were working at the scene and the threat remains.

The mayor of Nizhyn, Oleksandr Kodola, told Espreso TV that a shopping center was also hit.

“What’s most cynical is that the attack happened in the evening, during rush hour, when people were still at work or returning home, visiting shops and other places. It’s a miracle and thanks to God that no one was killed. Three people were injured and are receiving medical care at the hospital. About an hour later, the Russians carried out several more strikes on a nearby residential building, causing fires in several apartments. Russian forces likely tried to hit the same site again — something they’ve done repeatedly in Nizhyn and across Chernihiv region, striking when State Emergency Service workers arrive to deal with the aftermath. There’s also information about damage to two private houses. This morning, the Russians struck the same area twice more. In total, about 10 impacts were recorded last night and roughly 2 more this morning,” Kodola said.
