Since Sunday evening, May 11, the Russian army has attacked Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi in the Odesa region with strike drones, damaging infrastructure. On the morning of May 12, they also attacked a civilian cargo train in the Donetsk region

According to the press service of Ukrzaliznytsia, overnight, Russian troops struck a locomotive. As a result of the attack, the train driver sustained shrapnel wounds.
His life is not currently in danger – the railway worker received prompt medical assistance and was hospitalized. However, Ukrzaliznytsia noted that the attack did not disrupt train operations.
"Despite the dangers of working near the frontline, Ukrzaliznytsia’s locomotive drivers continue their work bravely, wearing bulletproof vests and helmets, with medical kits to provide assistance, and, most importantly, taking on the risk and responsibility, as it is critically important to maintain train movement where possible," the company emphasized.
Attack on Odesa region
On the morning of May 12, Russian troops attacked the city of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi in Odesa region with strike drones, according to the city council.
As a result of the strike, civilian infrastructure was damaged, including private homes.
Currently, rescuers and municipal workers are dealing with the aftermath of the attack. Two operational headquarters have been set up in the city, one of which is mobile. Information about casualties is being clarified.
