Russian command bans taking Ukrainians prisoner in Kursk region
The Russian army command ordered its troops not to take Ukrainian soldiers prisoner
Dina Wong, a spokeswoman for the 1st Detached Tank Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, said this during a telethon.
According to her, in the Kursk direction, where this brigade is performing combat missions, Russians are resorting to active assault operations with the use of armored vehicles.
“The enemy has ordered its personnel not to take Ukrainian servicemen prisoner,” the spokeswoman said.
According to the press officer, given that the operational situation in the brigade's area of responsibility is difficult, the work of the infantry is important. The servicemen are faithfully fulfilling their duty and holding their positions steadfastly, she added.
“We are aware that they are trying to accumulate their infantry. When an assault begins, we immediately target the enemy's personnel and equipment. Each of our operations is a combination of actions of our tank crews, artillery, and UAV operators,” said Wong.
